We are an owner-operated edible plant nursery, serving local food producers at any scale.
We began the nursery in 2019 with a small, homemade hoophouse and a drive to help people in our community grow more of their own food. Each year, we've connected with more gardeners, farmers, non-profits, homesteaders, and garden centers who need healthy transplants, and who share our value of localizing food production. Over time we have grown our production space to respond to the strong demand for affordable garden transplants grown using organic practices.
Though we've grown a bit from our humble beginnings, we are still classified as a micro-nursery. Our small scale allows for meticulous attention to detail, and every plant we sell has reached our high standard of quality. With our small growing space, availability shifts all throughout the year to favor the season's best-performing varieties. We use our backgrounds in sustainable agriculture to help consumers know exactly what to plant and when to plant it for optimal productivity.
Being deeply committed to the health of our local ecology, we always use organic practices. Though we hold no official organic certifications, we prioritize using products and methods that support thriving soils, abundant wildlife, and safe, nourishing food.
Our commitment to responsible decision making extends to sourcing materials like seeds and soils from local and regional vendors whenever possible, and to reducing our carbon footprint by collecting and reusing plastic containers indefinitely.
To expand access to fresh, locally grown produce in our local communities, we work closely with several non-profits and community gardens which provide fresh food to those in need at no cost.
We believe in taking every step we can to support a strong localized food system. Thankfully, small scale agriculture is thriving in our region and backyard gardening remains a deep-rooted tradition. We're excited to support your food production goals, whether you're growing on your patio or on a hundred acres.
